Training Log

I would like to officially announce that I will be leaving the White Hall/Monkton area at the end of the month. After wintering in Aiken, I will be moving to Hermitage Farm in Kennett Square and combining my efforts with fellow Advanced rider, Kaitlin Spurlock. Hermitage is a top class equestrian facility that will allow us to provide the best training possible to the horses and riders in our program. I plan to continue teaching in the Baltimore area and throughout Maryland on a regular basis.

Loudoun Hunt Pony Club HT Results

Last weekend Lion, Dickie, Aristocourt and Shannondale Fionn competed successfully at DVCTA. Dickie won the training and Dale won his first novice. This past weekend Lion and Shannondale Fionn competed at Loudoun hunt pony club horse trials. Lion was back out at preliminary and was excellent in the dressage and cross country but we have some more homework to do in the show jumping. Dale was excellent in his first recognized novice, scoring a 30 on the flat and jumping like a champ

Thanks to all XC Clinic participants!

This past weekend was a very busy and productive one at Clasing Eventing. We had a nice turnout for the xc clinic at An Otherwise Perfect Farm on Saturday. Thanks again to Julia and Barrett for letting us have such a fun day. Sunday I took Guapo, Dickie Small and Shannondale Fionn to the Full Moon Aloha horse trial. Guapo and Dickie hadn’t run since Surefire and had a great start to their fall seasons by picking up wins in both training divisions. Dale had and educational 2nd outing, finishing 5 in the beginner novice. I would also like to offer a belated congratulations to Shelby and Crimson on winning the individual bronze medal at the Young Riders Championship, a great accomplishment for a great team!
